AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Project Nominations 2026 (invite only)

This is an invite-only funding scheme for PhD studentships starting in October 2026. Only higher education institutions that were already offered a studentship through the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership scheme can apply. You must be specifically invited by AHRC to nominate projects. The funding covers PhD student costs but the exact amount is not specified. This is for academic research projects in arts and humanities subjects. Universities work with external partners on these collaborative projects. The deadline has not been announced yet.

This is only for higher education institutions in England that have already been offered studentships through AHRC's Collaborative Doctoral Partnership scheme. You cannot apply unless AHRC has specifically invited your university. This is not for individual students or businesses.

Higher education institutions (HEIs) offered a studentship through the AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Partnership (CDP) scheme round 4 are invited to nominate projects for studentships starting in October 2026.You must be invited by AHRC to apply for this funding opportunity.

You can only apply if AHRC has already invited your institution. Universities that received studentships in round 4 of the CDP scheme can nominate projects. Check with AHRC directly if you think you are eligible.
