Full details from London Borough of Barking and Dagenham
Barking and Dagenham Council's Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) Community Grants Programme, funded by the UK Government and running from April 2026 to March 2029, invests in community-led work that helps residents facing financial hardship, improves financial resilience, strengthens local support networks, reduces reliance on crisis support and joins up local services. There are three sizes: small grants up to £10,000 (pilots, neighbourhood initiatives, targeted community activity), medium grants of £10,000 to £100,000 (larger-scale support with evidenced outcomes) and large grants over £100,000 (borough-wide programmes, strategic partnerships and major coordination projects). Requests should be proportionate and show value for money. It is unlikely to fund work that does not support financial resilience or crisis prevention, duplicate statutory services, major capital or building projects, large asset purchases, projects outside the borough, retrospective costs, or ongoing food provision without resilience-building activity. Expressions of interest close on 27 November 2026; shortlisted organisations are invited to a full application. A further programme is planned after April 2027.
Read the programme guidance on the council's Crisis and Resilience Fund Community Grants Programme 2026 pages, download the Expression of Interest form (Word), and email the completed form with supporting evidence to the address given on the How to apply page, with the subject line 'Application for CRF Grant Fund [Organisation Name]', by 27 November 2026. Expressions of interest are assessed on local need, fit with the fund, impact, partnership working, monitoring and value for money, and shortlisted organisations are invited to submit a full application.
