This grant helps UK researchers build partnerships with scientists in Brazil. You must already have BBSRC research funding to apply. The money helps start new collaborations with researchers funded by FAPESP in São Paulo. There is no set limit on how much you can request. The example shows up to £35,000 but you could ask for more or less. You need to be the lead on a current BBSRC research project. The deadline is 14 July 2026. This is pump-priming funding to get international partnerships started.

This grant is for researchers who already have BBSRC funding and want to work with Brazilian scientists. You must be the project lead on current BBSRC research. It is not for new researchers or those without existing BBSRC grants.
