Overview

This grant funds ambitious research partnerships between businesses and universities working on advanced materials. You need an established partnership of at least one year with your academic or business partner. Projects must focus on one of six themes like energy solutions, healthcare materials, or electronics. EPSRC pays 80% of costs up to £7.5 million total. Your business partner must match the EPSRC funding with cash. Applications open 3 March 2026 and close 14 May 2026. This is for UK-based organisations or those with significant UK research activity.
