The SWAP Fund from the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) offers grants of up to £2,500 to help make communities across Cheshire safer. SWAP stands for Safety, Working together, Action and Prevention. The fund helps communities come together to reduce crime, prevent anti-social behaviour and help people feel safer. This is the third year that the PCC, Dan Price, has run the fund, and £50,000 is available in total. The fund suits charities, community groups and local organisations working in Cheshire. PCC community funding can support projects that make a positive difference in neighbourhoods, such as activities that help young people stay safe or reduce anti-social behaviour. It can also back partnership work between charities, community groups and local authorities. Prevention and early help is another focus, including mentoring, diversion activities for young people and awareness raising. Support for people affected by crime also counts, such as crime prevention advice or victim support activities. The application window is open now. The deadline is 9am on Monday 30 November 2026. Note the morning cut-off. If you plan to apply on the final day, you will have very little time, so aim to send your application earlier. Applications are subject to the fund criteria. The PCC aligns all funding decisions with the priorities in the Police and Crime Plan. Progress is monitored using clear, measurable outcomes, so think about how you will show the difference your project makes to local people.
