Inspiring London Through Culture Grants

City of London Corporation

The Inspiring London Through Culture fund from the City of London Corporation supports cultural and heritage projects that benefit the Square Mile. The funder is deliberately open-minded about the kinds of activity it will back. Your project must deliver most or all of its benefits within the City of London, or work with people who live or work in the Square Mile at any location. Each project must meet at least one core aim. These are widening access to the City's cultural offer, building London's creative future through innovative practice or skills, delivering social impact through culture or heritage, or growing cultural tourism to the City. Priority goes to projects that reach new audiences, animate local spaces, open up local buildings and heritage, improve health and wellbeing, highlight sustainability, build partnerships with City cultural providers, or bring in match funding. You can apply for between £500 and £10,000. The fund suits charities, community interest companies and constituted voluntary groups. You do not need to be based in the City yourself. The deadline is 12 noon on Monday 30 November 2026. Expect a decision around 12 weeks after the closing date, with the panel meeting at the end of February 2027. Plan your activity with this in mind, as funded events should not usually take place before spring 2027. Some costs are excluded. The fund will not pay for capital works or building refurbishment, alcohol, fundraising, loans, activity that has already started, or projects that actively promote religious or political activity. Any post paid for by the grant must be paid at least the London Living Wage.
