Gedling Borough Council Grants

Gedling Councillor Community Grants 2026/27

Gedling Borough Council

Gedling Borough Council gives money every year to support local community groups and activities. Your local councillors make the decisions, so the people who represent your area choose which applications to approve and how much to give. The scheme suits community groups that run local activities and need a modest sum to help them happen. If you belong to a small group with a project, event or regular activity in your neighbourhood, this could be a good place to start. Each councillor has £1,000 to award during the year. The minimum grant is £200, so any request you make should be for at least that amount. The £1,000 is the total each councillor can give out across the whole year. It is not a fixed amount for each group. The page gives no closing date. The council awards these grants every year. To apply, you fill in the council's application form and return it. Before you start, you need to know who your local ward councillor is, because the form asks for this. The council's website can help you find out who your councillor is. You can also see how much the council has spent on community grants. These details are published on its open data finance page, which may help you understand the kind of support it gives.
