The Making a Difference Grant offers community grants of between £501 and £3,000 for charities and community groups in Hinckley & Bosworth Borough. You can use it to kickstart a new project or to boost the impact of your group's work. Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council funds it, and the RCC administers it as part of the Hinckley & Bosworth VCS Partnership. It is designed as a quick and easy way to apply for a small grant. A wide range of community projects can apply, but the partnership has four priorities. The first is projects that give young people engaging, positive and creative opportunities, such as youth groups, sport, arts or music. The second is projects that tackle climate change. The third is practical, emotional or social support for families of children or adults with learning disabilities (LD) or special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The fourth is work that brings diverse groups together and builds stronger community ties. The partnership is especially keen on projects that reduce loneliness and social isolation. The grant is open now. Applications are judged in quarterly rounds, and each round has its own panel meeting. The next deadline is 25 November 2026, with the panel meeting on 9 December 2026. The Quarter 4 round then closes on 17 February 2027, with a panel meeting on 3 March 2027. One practical point: you apply by email, not through an online form.
