The Step Up Fund helps young people in the Lancaster District take their next step into education, training or work. Lancaster District CVS runs the fund in partnership with the Banks Lyon Memorial Trust. It is for young people aged 16-24 who live in the Lancaster District and face social or financial barriers, or both. A grant pays for goods and services that help you overcome those barriers, with the aim of getting into education, training or employment. Grants are up to £250 per person. The amount depends on your need. One thing to know before you apply: the money is not paid to you directly. LDCVS spends the grant on your behalf, buying the goods or services you need. The fund is open now and you can apply at any time. There is no closing date. LDCVS aims to make a decision within two weeks, so the fund can help when you need support quickly.
