Macc (Manchester Community Central) is offering ten grants of £1,000 for projects that raise awareness of hate crime during Greater Manchester Hate Crime Awareness Week, which runs from 1 to 7 February 2027. The main aim of every funded project must be to help people understand hate crime and know how to report hate crimes and incidents. The grants are open to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations, as well as public sector organisations. You must be based within the city of Manchester, and your project must take place wholly within the city. Projects should run during and around the awareness week itself. Each grant is worth £1,000, and there are ten available in total. This is a small, focused fund, so it suits a clear, local project that can be delivered around the week. To apply, download the programme guidance and the £1,000 grant application form from the Macc page. Email your completed form to grants@macc.org.uk. Applications close at 12pm midday on Wednesday 11 November 2026. One practical point: Macc only accepts application forms in Word or.odt format, so save your form in one of those formats before you send it. Also, the funding is for the city of Manchester only. Projects based in, or taking place in, other parts of Greater Manchester will not qualify, even though the awareness week covers the wider region.
