The Community Grants Programme from One Community Foundation offers grants of up to £3,000 to community projects and registered local charities. Round 11 is open now and closes on 6 November 2026. This is a flexible fund. All of the funds in the programme will consider applications for any purpose, including core costs. You can ask for help with project costs, core costs and increased running costs, such as higher utility bills caused by the cost-of-living crisis. That makes it a useful option if you need help keeping things running, not just money for something new. The programme brings together several funds, and the grants panel considers them at the same time. They include JL Brierley, Hazel Charlesworth, Judith and Neil Charlesworth, Kirklees Community Fund, Stephen Wood Fund, Kirklees General Fund, Kirklees Police Fund, One Kirklees, Parish Fund, Accept Cards Fund and Heckmondwike Funds. You do not need to be a registered charity, but you must be a constituted community group. You need at least three unrelated trustees or directors. You also need a bank account in your organisation's name with at least two unrelated signatories. One thing to be aware of: this is not the Community Grants for Climate Projects Fund, previously called Better Neighbourhoods. If your project is about climate action, make sure you are applying to the right fund. If you miss this round, the foundation says it will announce three further rounds for 2027.
