Ripon City Council Grants

Ripon City Council Small Grants Scheme 2026/27

Ripon City Council

Ripon City Council's Small Grants Scheme 2026-27 is an easy access source of funding for local charities and community groups. It is for organisations with charitable status, or that run on a not-for-profit basis, whose work benefits the people of Ripon. You can apply for up to £1,000. The council has funding to allocate across the 2026-27 financial year, and no single grant will be more than that amount. The scheme closes on 30 November 2026. The council will consider all valid applications at its December meeting. It will contact you once your application has been reviewed, so you will hear after that meeting rather than straight away. The council publishes its awards, which shows the kinds of groups it supports. Recipients so far in 2026-27 include Ripon Cricket Club, Ripon History and Archaeology Trust, Ripon City Band, Dementia Forward, Ripon Concerts and Ripon Spa Bowling Club. These awards ranged from £400 to £1,000. In earlier years awards have also gone to groups such as Ripon Men's Shed, Friends of Spa Gardens and Ripon City Panthers Junior Football Club. The council says these grants help local organisations thrive and help develop Ripon as a vibrant place to work and live. Guidance notes, criteria and an application form for 2026-27 are on the council's grants page. Read the guidance notes before you apply, so you know the criteria your application will be judged against. The separate Partnership Funding Scheme, which has made larger awards to the council's community partners, is currently closed to new applications. This listing covers the Small Grants Scheme only.
