Grants for exceptionally gifted and talented young people to pursue academic, sporting or creative talent, covering equipment, fees, travel and resources. Activity starts from 1 March 2027. Amount: £2,000 to £10,000. Closes 5pm 4 December 2026. Who can apply: Young people aged 11 to 19 living in South Yorkshire (including care-experienced young people placed elsewhere) from families eligible for free school meals or mainly on Universal Credit, with a nomination from a coach, tutor or mentor. How to apply: Read the full guidance notes on the SYCF fund page and apply online by 5pm on 4 December 2026. Families may help, but the young person's voice must be clear; a video submission option is available.
