The Staffordshire County Councillors' Community Fund 2026 helps community groups across Staffordshire pay for local projects. Each county councillor has up to £2,500 to give out. They can split this into smaller grants, and there is no set minimum. Councillors can also team up to fund projects across their areas, or projects that work district wide or countywide. The fund covers four themes. Looking after yourself includes projects for physical health, wellbeing, resilience, independence and healthy lifestyles. Looking after those around you covers projects that connect people, give children and young people the best start in life, support people who need extra help, and promote independence, self-care and reablement. Looking after your place means improving where people live, developing community spaces and building community spirit. The fourth theme is cultural activity, such as inclusive events, support for local artists and creators, and pride in local heritage. Applications opened on 11 May 2026 and close at 23:59 on 1 November 2026. You must speak to the county councillor or councillors you want funding from before you apply, or you will not be able to go ahead. Some councillors like to gather a few applications before replying, so ask about their timescales. Plan your spending carefully. You are expected to spend the money by 20 March 2027 unless the council agrees otherwise in writing. Retrospective applications are not accepted, apart from Staffordshire Day activities, and the deadline for those was 30 June 2026. By applying, you accept the council's funding conditions.
