Warwick District Council's Community Climate and Nature Fund pays for local projects that help create a greener and more resilient Warwick District. The council wants to support community action across the district that cuts carbon, protects nature and reduces waste. Your project needs to meet one or more of five aims. These are reducing greenhouse gas emissions, adapting and building resilience to climate change, conserving and enhancing biodiversity, and reducing waste, increasing recycling or supporting the circular economy. The fifth aim is research that helps you make bigger funding applications later on. You can apply for up to £10,000. The fund suits charities and community groups, including registered charities, community interest companies, community benefit societies and constituted not-for-profit groups. Town and parish councils and schools can apply too. The fund runs in rounds during the 2026/27 financial year. The application windows are 1 July 2026 to 30 September 2026 (decisions by 31 October 2026), 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026 (decisions by 31 January 2027), and 1 January 2027 to 31 March 2027 (decisions by 30 April 2027). You apply online through the council's MyAccount system, which lets you save your progress and return later. Before you start, download and fill in the budget template spreadsheet, as you will need to upload it with the form. The council also asks you to read the full guidance notes first, so you can be sure your project is eligible. If you cannot use the online form, you can email the sustainability team to ask for a Word version instead.
