West Lothian Climate Action Network Grants

West Lothian Climate Action Network Eco Development Fund

West Lothian Climate Action Network

The Eco Development Fund is run by West Lothian Climate Action Network (WLCAN). Eco Fund 7 is the latest round of the fund, and it is opening for applications in autumn 2026. Because this is the seventh round, there is a good record of past awards you can learn from. The page gives the closing date as Sunday 28 November. It does not state a closing time or a year, so aim to apply well before then and check the exact date with WLCAN if you are unsure. The fund suits people with an eco or climate project in mind who are happy to join WLCAN. Membership is a must. You need to be a member of WLCAN to be eligible, and you can join using the form on the top right of the fund page. Joining first is a sensible step, because an application from a non-member will not be eligible. To get a feel for what WLCAN backs, look at the Eco Development Fund page. It has summaries of all previous awards. You can click on the project tiles to read case studies and see pictures that tell the story behind each award. This is a useful way to shape your own idea and see the kind of work that earlier rounds have funded. You can download the application form and guidelines from the Eco Fund 7 page. Read the guidelines closely before you start, so you can show how your project fits what the fund is looking for. The main caveat is simple: no membership, no application. Sort out your WLCAN membership before you put time into the form. Official source: https://wlcan.scot/eco-fund-7-now-open/. Last checked by GrantMatch on 28 October 2026.
