Full details from CVSC (Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm)
The Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Fund, run by Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC), is a £19 million long-term investment over the wind farm's lifetime for the coastal communities of Conwy, Denbighshire and Flintshire. After a pause in the second half of 2025 it is open again. Micro grants of up to £1,500 are for one-off events, starting a pilot project or buying necessary equipment. Small grants of £1,500 to £20,000 are also open, and large grants of up to £75,000 are open by discussion with the grants team. Projects should meet one or more themes: building strong, cohesive and sustainable communities; developing prosperous, enterprising communities with strong economic growth; and reducing poverty and inequality. A panel of local residents decides, and funded projects complete monitoring and evaluation. No deadline is given.
Download the Gwynt y Môr applicant guidelines and the micro or small grants application form from CVSC's Gwynt y Môr page; for large grants, email grants@cvsc.org.uk to discuss your project and get a form. CVSC prefers a conversation before an application and runs regular funding surgeries. Applications are checked by the grants team and decided by a local residents' panel.
