Overview

The Heywood Pride in Place Capital Grants programme helps local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations improve physical spaces in Heywood where people come together. It is run by Action Together as part of Heywood Pride in Place, which is working with the community to shape a long-term vision for the town. The money is for capital spending only. That means projects on physical community spaces that help improve the lives of Heywood residents. Your project should meet at least one of three priorities. Thriving Places is about attractive spaces to meet, play, learn and visit. Stronger Communities is about community spirit, heritage and culture, and making sure everyone feels safe. Taking Back Control is about better access to training and employment within a thriving local economy. The page says grants of up to £30,000 or £185,000 are available. The fund suits organisations that are locally rooted and active in Heywood and want to contribute to the Heywood Plan. There are two stages. First, you send a short Expression of Interest with an indicative budget. The deadline for this is Monday 30 November 2026. If you are successful, you will be sent a final application form to complete. One practical point: the funder asks you to read the guidance notes carefully before you apply. You must also be formally constituted, incorporated or registered with the Charity Commission or Companies House, or be an exempt charity such as a place of worship. If you have questions, you can email the Rochdale Communities Fund team at Action Together. Official source: https://www.actiontogether.org.uk/heywood-pride-place-capital-grant.
