Overview

Round 3 closed at 11:59pm UK time on 27 September 2026. Grants up to £5,000 supported new projects reducing violence affecting young people aged 25 and under, their families and local communities in five named Brent neighbourhoods. Successful projects must finish and spend their grant by 28 February 2027. The grant must cover the whole project cost, and recipients receive additional capacity-building support. No new round is confirmed.

Requirements to check

Key requirements:

  • One application per applicant. Projects must be new, free to participants and fully covered by the grant. An organisation bank account must require two people to authorise payments.
  • Staff, venue, activity, volunteer and publicity costs can be included. Existing funded projects, retrospective costs, individual-only benefit, course fees, loans and social finance are excluded.
  • Successful applicants must use the capacity-building support and report project outcomes. Shortlisting, interview, community-panel assessment and due diligence apply, including insurance, accounts, policies and two referees.
  • The £2,000 value of capacity-building support in the guidance is not an additional cash grant. The delivery deadline in February 2027 does not extend the September application deadline.

Brent-based charities, not-for-profit organisations and unincorporated associations with annual turnover below £200,000. At least 25% of the senior team and/or trustees must be from a minority ethnic background. Individuals aged 18 or over need an eligible organisation as a partner. Beneficiaries must live, work, study or spend substantial time in Chalkhill Estate, Church Road Estate, Harlesden Town Centre, St Raphael’s Estate or Stonebridge Estate.

This summary may not include every exclusion. Check the full eligibility rules, including who and what the funder will not support.
