Innovate UK Venture Builder Pilot Expression of Interest

Innovate UK is running a pilot programme to support new spin-out companies. Your business must be a UK registered micro, small or medium sized enterprise created in the last 24 months. If you are not yet an SME, you must formally incorporate by 20 August 2026. This is an expression of interest stage, so the full application process will come later. The funding amount has not been specified yet. Only single applicants can apply, not partnerships. This is a pilot programme, so it may be the first of its kind from Innovate UK.

This is for UK spin-out companies that are micro, small or medium sized enterprises created in the last 24 months. If you have not yet incorporated as an SME, you have until 20 August 2026 to do so. You must apply as a single company, not in partnership with others.
