Full details from The Joseph Rank Trust

The Joseph Rank Trust is an independent Christian grant-maker working with all denominations across the UK. It funds capital projects, or three-year grants towards running (core) costs, for projects that show a Christian approach to the practical, educational and spiritual needs of people of all ages, and for adapting or improving church buildings (including new build) to give better facilities for the church's work in its community. Core cost grants need matched funding; capital grants do not. There is no typical grant. It does not fund roofs, insulation, solar, heating, windows, repairs and maintenance, organs, bells, heritage or restoration projects, IT or audio-visual kit, among other exclusions, and it is not a repeat funder. Applications are considered first come, first served; the next trustees meeting is in January 2027, with no published deadline.

How to apply

Check the areas of interest and exclusions on the Joseph Rank Trust website, and call the Secretary if unsure. Then send a hard copy (not email) application to the Secretary: a two-page A4 story of your work and mission, an appendix with budget and costings (a three-year budget for core cost requests), other funders approached, your latest management accounts and full annual report and accounts, a link to your safeguarding policy, and a covering letter with contact details. Building projects need faculty or planning permission in place. The next trustees meeting is in January 2027.
