Lewisham Council offers small grants of up to £1,000 for community-led celebrations of Tamil Heritage Month 2027, which recognises the heritage of British Tamils and their contribution to the borough. Projects could be a community event, workshop, performance, exhibition, shared meal or something else that celebrates, explores or raises awareness of Tamil heritage, identity or community experience. Applicants must show lived experience of, or close work with, Tamil communities, and Tamil community members should help plan or deliver the project. Organisations and endorsed individuals can apply; payments go to an organisation's bank account. Projects must take place between 1 and 31 January 2027, with a monitoring form due by 26 February 2027. Applications close at 11.59pm on Sunday 1 November 2026, with decisions by 20 November.
