Full details from GrantScape (funded by Statkraft)
Statkraft's Neilston Greener Grid Park Community Fund, run by GrantScape, has £20,000 a year for community and environmental projects that cut carbon and help progress towards net zero, located in or benefiting communities within 3km of the Neilston Greener Grid Park in East Renfrewshire. Grants run from £500 to £20,000; bids over £5,000 need at least 20% match funding (in kind allowed, and it does not need to be secured before applying). Examples include energy efficiency audits of community buildings and the works they identify (insulation, solar panels and batteries, ground source or more efficient heating, glazing, micro wind), net zero education such as school trips and workshops, carbon training for groups, habitat conservation and tree planting, public EV charge points and lighting upgrades. It cannot fund statutory duties, party political work, projects at religious buildings unless clearly for the wider community, private members' clubs, projects that only benefit individuals or support local businesses, or retrospective costs. A local advisory panel helps decide. An extra round was held in 2026 because not all the money was awarded. There is one round a year; the next closes at midnight on 14 April 2027, with decisions by the end of June 2027.
