Pushing the frontiers of environmental research (Grant)

This grant funds adventurous environmental research projects with no upper limit on funding. You must be based at a UK research organisation that can receive NERC funding. You need to meet individual eligibility requirements for researchers. The example shows funding up to £950,000 but larger amounts are possible. This is for curiosity-driven, ambitious environmental research projects. The deadline is 31 March 2027. You must be employed by an eligible UK research institution.

This grant is for researchers employed at UK research organisations that are eligible for NERC funding. You need to meet specific individual eligibility requirements as a researcher. This is not for businesses, charities, or individuals outside of academic research institutions.
