NERC is offering capital funding to renew and upgrade environmental science infrastructure. You can apply for between £300,000 and £1,000,000. The funding covers existing facilities, laboratories, and national capabilities. These must already be open and available to the wider environmental science community. The deadline to apply is 21 October 2026.

This funding is for organisations that already run established environmental science facilities or laboratories in England. Your facility must be demonstrably available for use by the broader environmental science community. It is not for new facilities or organisations outside the environmental science sector.
