Full details from Sport NI (with Crowdfunder UK)
Creating Opportunities, from Sport NI with National Lottery funding and Crowdfunder UK, helps eligible Northern Ireland organisations launch new and additional projects that make sport and physical activity more inclusive and accessible. Groups set up a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdfunder, and Sport NI match funds 65% of the target (75% in areas of greatest need or rural areas), from £500 up to £5,000. The aim is to remove barriers to taking part as participants, coaches, officials or leaders. Phase 3 is open now and closes at the end of January 2027 unless funds run out sooner; campaigns must finish and funds be spent by 31 March 2027.
Read the Creating Opportunities guidance, start a crowdfunding project on Crowdfunder UK, and if eligible you will be prompted to apply for Sport NI match funding. Apply before the end of January 2027 and email creatingopportunities@sportni.net with questions.
