UKRI Translation: Proof of Concept

This grant provides up to £9 million for proof-of-concept projects. It helps turn research into new products, processes or services. You must be based at a UK research organisation that can receive UKRI funding. The funding supports early to mid-stage commercialisation of research from any discipline. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with no set deadline. The money helps bridge the gap between research and commercial development. You can apply for projects in arts, humanities, sciences, engineering or social research.

This grant is for researchers at UK universities and research institutions that are eligible for UKRI funding. You need a research project that could be turned into a commercial product, process or service. It is not for businesses or individuals outside of academic research organisations.
