The Department for Education is offering £80-85 million over 10 years for a What Works Centre for Children and Families. This centre will start work in April 2027. The funding is for organisations that can research and share evidence about what works best for children and families. You need to apply through the Jaggaer platform by 18 May 2026. This is a major long-term contract worth £8-8.5 million per year. The centre will help improve services for children and families across England. Only one organisation or partnership will win this competition.
Key requirements:
- Must deliver for 10 years starting April 2027
- Must operate as What Works Centre for Children and Families
This is for large organisations or partnerships that can run a national research centre. You need expertise in children and families research, evidence synthesis, and knowledge sharing. This is not suitable for small businesses or individual researchers due to the scale and complexity required.
Regions
This is a Competition Notice for 10 years of Grant Funding for a What Works Centre for Children and Families to start delivery in April 2027. This funding will be provided under Section 14 Grant Terms and Conditions. This competition will be held on Jaggaer.
