Price and users

GrantFinder's subscriptions page lists VCSE Essentials at £1,020 a year for one user and Growth at £1,500 a year for up to three users. Enterprise is priced on enquiry [1]. The page does not say whether VAT is added, so check that with Idox.

GrantMatch has a Free plan and Premium at £19.99 a month. New accounts get a 14-day Premium trial with no card needed, and become Free afterwards unless they choose to subscribe. You can cancel any time in your account settings.

How the data is put together

GrantFinder says a dedicated content team, with more than 40 years of combined expertise, updates its database and that opportunities are verified by expert researchers [1][2]. That human research desk is a real strength.

GrantMatch monitors 90+ published UK funding sources, including GOV.UK Find a Grant, Innovate UK, UKRI and the National Lottery Community Fund, and every grant links back to the funder's own page [5].

Matching, eligibility and preparing applications

GrantFinder offers keyword, organisation type, geography and activity filters, with alerts for new and updated funds [2]. GrantMatch matches grants to your organisation profile, can check your eligibility against a grant's criteria, and on Premium helps you plan, draft and review your application [3].

When GrantFinder is the better choice

  • You are a council, housing association or large organisation that needs many users, single sign-on, a dedicated account manager or tailored training [1].
  • Your procurement process needs a supplier with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials certification [1].
  • You want a human research team and daily editorial funding news more than eligibility checks or drafting help.
  • You need the widest coverage: GrantFinder says it covers 8,500+ live opportunities [2].
