Access Foundation - Digital Divide Grants

Overview

The Access Foundation Digital Divide Grants support projects that benefit disadvantaged people, including those left behind, or at risk of being left behind, as society becomes more digital. The funder also aims to support people and communities as well as the natural environment within the UK. Grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 are available for projects lasting up to one year. In exceptional cases, the Foundation may consider supporting a longer running multi-year project. This fund suits charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK. Only charities and not-for-profit organisations can apply. If you are not registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the Scottish Charity Register or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, you will need to give your country of tax residency, your registration number with the relevant tax authority (and with any other regulator), and details of any tax exemptions linked to your charitable or not-for-profit status. There are no deadlines, so you can apply at any time. The first step is to register on the funder's application portal. The guidance notes and application form are on the Access Foundation website. The Foundation aims to tell you its decision within 16 weeks of receiving your application, though it says this could be much sooner. Build that possible wait into your project planning, and remember that multi-year funding is only considered in exceptional cases.
