Grants of up to £250 from Atom Bank's Atom Futures Fund (Part 1), run by Point North, for Year 13 students at state schools, sixth forms and academies in County Durham, Northumberland, Tees Valley and Tyne and Wear who are eligible for free school meals, in care or young carers, and are applying to one of the 24 Russell Group universities. The money can go on interview preparation, travel and clothes for interviews, books, resources and equipment. A named member of school staff must verify the application, and students who go on to study at a Russell Group university can later apply for Part 2 support. Grants are due to be paid in January 2027. Applications close on 1 November 2026.
