Full details from Benefact Trust
Benefact Trust's Building Grants programme gives capital funding to repair, restore and improve church and Christian charity buildings across the UK and Ireland so they stay open, accessible and fit for long term use. Priorities are essential building repair, congregational growth, accessibility, community use and impact, carbon reduction and net zero, and heritage stewardship. Grants are calculated from total eligible project costs using set rates, from about £1,000 for a £2,000 to £5,000 project to £90,000 for a £1.5 million project, with a deprivation uplift where it applies; large projects over £1 million normally receive £100,000 to £150,000 at most. The minimum project size is £2,000. Roof alarms against metal theft can get 50% of costs up to £3,000. Applications are open all year with no deadlines.
