Berkshire Community Foundation's Surviving Winter round gives grants of up to £2,500 towards energy costs, helping charities and community groups stay open and serve their communities through the winter. Priority goes to organisations supporting babies, children and young people, older people, disabled people and those with life-limiting illnesses. Organisations must have an annual income under £250,000; current BCF grantees can still apply. The panel looks at how rising energy costs affect services and whether funding will keep services open. Applications opened on 28 September and must be submitted with supporting documents by 29 October 2026, with decisions in December.
