Full details from Antur Cymru (RWE Brechfa Forest West Wind Farm)
The Brechfa Forest West Community Fund, paid by RWE's Brechfa Forest West onshore wind farm near Carmarthen (about £459,200 a year, index linked, over £11 million over its lifetime), is administered by Antur Cymru with a panel of local people making the decisions. It benefits the areas of Llanllwni, Llanfihangel Rhos-y-Corn, Llanegwad, Abergwili, Llanllawddog, Llanpumsaint and Llanfihangel-ar-Arth. There are grants of up to £750 (Grant Bach), larger grants with no upper limit so that exceptional opportunities can be considered, and separate applications for defibrillators and broadband. The Grants Panel meets quarterly; the next applications close on 1 February 2027, then 25 May 2027. Demand is very high and not all eligible applications will be funded.
Download the application form for the amount you need (Grant Bach up to £750, the main grant form, or the defibrillator or broadband forms) from the fund's apply page, and return it by email to the address on the apply page or by post to Antur Cymru, Antur Teifi Business Park, Aberarad, Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire SA38 9DB.
