Brighton & Hove City Council's Estate Development Budget (EDB) funds ideas from council housing residents that make a positive difference to their neighbourhood. Quick bids of up to £1,000 can be made at any time and go to one of six panels a year; the remaining 2026/27 submission deadlines are 31 December 2026, 28 February 2027 and 31 March 2027. Main bids of up to £10,000 are also available, with submissions due by the end of March or September for the May and November panels. Each area of the city (Central, North, East and West) has its own budget, and you can make up to five quick bids and three main bids a year.
Check which improvements can be funded, then download the EDB bid form and guidance from the council website (the online form is currently unavailable) and send it to the Community Engagement Team at communityengagement@brighton-hove.gov.uk, or ask for a printed form.
