Regions
Full details from Foundation Scotland (Caledonian MacBrayne)
The CalMac Community Fund, run by Foundation Scotland for Caledonian MacBrayne, gives one-year grants of £1,000 to £10,000 to groups based on the islands CalMac serves and in its mainland port towns (such as Wemyss Bay, Ardrossan and Troon). Priorities are improving health, wellbeing and quality of life; tackling poverty and financial hardship; and building stronger, connected communities. Projects must support people facing disadvantage, show local need, give direct benefit to beneficiaries and not duplicate existing provision. Organisations must have an income of £250,000 or less. Applications close at midnight on Monday 16 November 2026, but the fund may close earlier if demand is very high.
Check your organisation is based in one of the islands or port towns listed on the Foundation Scotland fund page, then apply online by midnight on 16 November 2026. Apply early, as the fund may close sooner if oversubscribed. Questions go to grants@foundationscotland.org.uk.
