Full details from City of Oxford Charity

City of Oxford Charity Relief in Need grants give one-off help to Oxford residents facing hardship, covering essential items such as washing machines, fridges, beds, tables, crockery and curtains, or start-up costs for people moving into a new home or rebuilding after a crisis. Typical maximum awards are £650 for a single person, £800 for a single parent with children and £900 for a two-parent family. Applicants must have lived in the City of Oxford for at least three years. Every application needs a supporting statement from a recognised support worker, such as a Citizens Advice adviser, social worker or health visitor, and payments go to the supporting organisation or a supplier rather than to the applicant. The grants board meets monthly.

How to apply

Download the Relief in Need form from the City of Oxford Charity website, complete it with a supporting statement from your support worker, and email or post it before the next monthly closing date.
