Overview
MRC, AstraZeneca and the University of Cambridge invite researchers to collaborate with the Functional Genomics Screening Laboratory (FGSL). Projects use complex human in vitro models for CRISPR screening, to better understand model biology and help identify targets. This is mainly in-kind support rather than a cash grant. Screens are run by FGSL scientists, with those costs met by MTI and AstraZeneca. Help with consumables is available either from AstraZeneca, where the model interests it, or from an MRC screening access fund. Project length is decided case by case. You must be a researcher eligible for MRC funding, though you do not need to be MRC-funded. UK small businesses and industry may also be considered where space allows. There is no closing date.
