Overview
The Community Leadership Fund gives each of Peterborough's 60 city councillors £1,000 per year to support local community projects. You can get up to £1,000 for schemes that improve your local area. The Community Leadership Fund enables city councillors in Peterborough to support schemes, projects and activities that will have a positive impact within their wards. Each of the 60 councillors is allocated £1,000 per financial year to spend on community projects, which can be pooled with other councillors for joint projects. Eligible projects include one-off capital costs such as improving open spaces, community buildings, playground equipment, environmental sustainability projects, and start-up costs for new groups or organisations. Ongoing revenue or maintenance costs, insurance fees, and donations to individuals or commercial bodies are not eligible.
