The Office for Life Sciences is offering £20 million to develop new treatments for drug and alcohol addiction. You can get between £200,000 and £1.5 million for your project. The money is for creating pharmaceutical drugs, digital tools, or medical technology. Your project must help treat addiction, support recovery, or prevent deaths from drugs and alcohol. The funding includes VAT. Applications close on 6 May 2026. Projects should advance healthcare solutions for addiction problems.

This grant is for organisations developing healthcare solutions for drug and alcohol addiction. You need to be working on pharmaceutical drugs, digital health tools, or medical technology. Your project must focus on treatment, recovery, or preventing addiction-related deaths.
Organisations can apply for a share of £20 million, inclusive of VAT. Projects will advance development of pharmaceutical, digital and MedTech tools to improve treatment, recovery and prevention of harm and deaths for drug and alcohol addictions.
