Full details from Norfolk Community Foundation (East of England Co-op)
The East of England Co-op Community Cares Fund, run by Norfolk Community Foundation, gives grants of £1,000 to £5,000 to organisations in Norfolk creating or developing services or activities that meet local needs, within 5km of an East of England Co-op food, travel or funeral store. The theme is community cohesion and integration: projects should help people play an active part in their community, reduce barriers and inequalities, and improve social contact. Applications must address at least one of: better access to social activities; less isolation and better wellbeing; support into education or employment; information, advice or guidance to maximise income; or partnership working. The funder only considers applications where it pays 30% or more of the total project cost. The pot is £22,000, so only 5 or 6 groups are likely to be funded, and capital, one-off equipment and short-term projects are lower priority. The deadline is 12pm on 23 November 2026, with decisions expected in February 2027.
Check your nearest East of England Co-op store with the store locator (select 'All branches'), read the criteria on Norfolk Community Foundation's fund page, then apply online using the 'Apply Online' link by 12pm on 23 November 2026.
