ESB West Durham Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund

Grants of up to £5,000 from ESB Energy's West Durham Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund, run by Point North, for community groups, voluntary organisations and environmental projects within 3 miles of the wind farm near Tow Law and in Cornsay, Cornsay Colliery, Hamsteels, East Hedleyhope and Satley. Projects up to 10 miles away can be considered if they benefit people in that core area. You don't need to be a registered charity but must have charitable aims: charities, CIOs, constituted groups, and CICs or companies limited by guarantee can apply. Public amenities such as halls and sports facilities, environmental and wildlife work, community activities, and energy efficiency or renewable energy projects are all eligible. There is no fixed deadline, so you can apply at any time while funds last.
