This grant offers up to £10 million for developing electric vehicle charging solutions on major roads in England. You can get between £500,000 and £3 million to create new ways to increase EV charging for long journeys. The money is for developing and testing your charging solutions on the Strategic Road Network. This includes motorways and major A-roads across England. Your organisation must be registered in the UK to apply. The deadline is 25 March 2026. You need to focus on public charging infrastructure that helps drivers on longer trips.

This grant is for UK registered organisations working on electric vehicle charging technology. You should apply if you can develop new charging solutions for motorways and major A-roads. It is not suitable if your focus is on local or residential charging points.
Regions
UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £10 million. The funding is for the development and demonstration of solutions to increase public Electric Vehicle (EV) charging provision for longer journeys on the Strategic Road Network (SRN).
