Full details from John Lyon's Charity
The Open Programme is John Lyon's Charity's main grants programme for organisations supporting the life chances of children and young people in Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster and the City of London. Grants can cover core costs, salary costs or direct project costs. First-time multi-year grantees are likely to receive £10,000 to £20,000 a year for up to three years; previous multi-year grantees typically receive more than £30,000 a year, and grants of up to five years can be considered. There is a two-stage process: you submit a proposal at any time, hear within six weeks about next steps, and Second Stage applications go to the Grants Committee in June and November. The charity says demand is very high and decisions are currently taking around ten months.
Take John Lyon's Charity's eligibility quiz, then submit a first-stage proposal through the online portal linked from the Open Programme page. Include an overview of your organisation, how the funding supports children and young people, the total cost, the amount requested and the project length.
