Overview
Make-A-StarT, often called MAST, is a small grant from Lincolnshire Community Foundation for individuals rather than groups. It helps people aged sixteen and over in Greater Lincolnshire who need support to remove the final financial barriers stopping them getting into employment or further education. If your application is successful, the grant pays for tailored training and/or equipment. The aim is for that help to lead you into work or further education. It is meant for people who do not meet the support criteria elsewhere, so it works as the last piece of the puzzle. Grants are up to £150. The page says the average award is £150, but each application is reviewed and assessed on its own merits and additional funding could potentially be provided. Applications are open all year, so there is no closing date to work towards. To be eligible, you must be sixteen or over, live in Greater Lincolnshire and have the right to work in the United Kingdom. You must not be able to receive financial support from another statutory organisation. The page also sets a limit of sixteen hours of employment per week. You can apply by completing an application form and emailing it to the grant manager, Aaron Bailey, at aaron@lincolnshirecf.co.uk. You can also complete the application form online using the link on the funder's page. A downloadable application form is available too. One practical point: the fund is only open to people who cannot receive financial support from another statutory organisation, so it is worth thinking that through before you apply.
