The Plug-in Van and Truck Grant helps you buy ultra-low emission vans and trucks. It bridges the price gap between electric vehicles and diesel ones. You can get between £2,500 and £120,000 depending on your vehicle. The grant has been running since 2012 for vans and 2016 for trucks. It covers businesses in England. The current scheme runs until 1 April 2026. This funding helps make cleaner commercial vehicles more affordable for your business.
Regions
The plug-in van grant (PIVG) was launched in 2012 to help bridge the price gap between the cost of ultra-low emission vans and diesel vans. It was extended to trucks, also referred to as heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in 2016.
