Royal Society Wolfson Research Fellowships

This fellowship helps UK universities and research institutions bring outstanding scientists from overseas to the UK. It covers all areas of life and physical sciences, including engineering, but not clinical medicine. There are two options. The Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship supports a five-year relocation to the UK. The Visiting Fellowship offers a flexible 12-month sabbatical. The programme is jointly funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and run by the Royal Society.

This is for UK universities and research institutions that want to recruit outstanding scientific researchers from abroad. It is not for individual researchers applying on their own behalf. It does not cover clinical medicine.
