Full details from South East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre (SEWBReC)
The South East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre offers small grants of up to £500 to support wildlife recording across south east Wales, from Swansea and Neath Port Talbot to Newport and Monmouthshire. Grants can pay for field and lab equipment, travel, identification guides, software, attending or running courses and workshops, promotional material, and atlas and checklist publication. The scheme mainly funds existing recorders who want to boost their recording, and group projects that could reach new recorders. A separate books grant of up to £75 covers field guides and keys. Applications are considered as they arrive, with a decision within about six weeks.
