Full details from South Yorkshire's Community Foundation (Culture Sheffield and Sheffield City Council)
South Yorkshire's Community Foundation runs this new fund for Culture Sheffield and Sheffield City Council. It supports small and grassroots arts, culture and heritage organisations in Sheffield, in line with the city's Culture Strategy, with grants of up to £5,000 per organisation; the programme hopes to fund 15 to 20 groups in this first round. Grants can support organisational development as well as cultural and heritage activity: stronger governance and financial sustainability, more culture and heritage activity in the city, skills and leadership development for staff, volunteers, trustees and artists, partnership working with diverse groups, and building the track record needed for larger funding. All artforms are welcome, including visual arts, music, theatre, dance, literature, festivals, crafts, digital arts, film, creative health, combined arts and heritage. The first round opened at 9am on 2 November 2026 and closes at 9am on Monday 4 January 2027. Activity should start no earlier than April 2027 and last up to 12 months.
