Overview

The Smallbridge, Hurstead and Belfield Pride in Place Community Grants programme is run by Action Together for the Pride in Place board. It supports projects that benefit residents of Smallbridge, Hurstead and Belfield in Rochdale. Grants of up to £1,000 or up to £5,000 are available. Your project must fit one or more priorities: increasing community pride and local ownership, supporting community-led activities and events, building stronger relationships between residents, organisations and local stakeholders, and encouraging volunteering and civic participation. Projects that bring people of different ages and backgrounds together, and help reduce isolation, fit well. The fund suits voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups that are rooted in, or actively working in, the three areas. Groups with an income under £25,000 can apply for up to £1,000. Groups with an income under £2 million can apply for up to £5,000. This is a rolling programme, so you can apply now. It closes on 1 February 2027. It may close earlier if all the funding is allocated, so do not leave it too late. You must be a member of Action Together CIO, which is free to join, and you must be formally constituted. Action Together is also holding an online Meet the Funder session on Wednesday 4 November 2026, from 11am to 12noon, where you can find out more about the priorities and the application process.
